Marilyn Abbazia - Lodato
Announces run for Stamford Town Clerk

Marilyn Abbazia-Lodato, born and raised in Stamford, has decided to run for Stamford Town Clerk as an unaffiliated candidate.  “This is an opportunity to help people and give back to the community where I was raised.” said Marilyn.  Marilyn has worked for prominent city attorneys from both parties such as E. Gaynor Brennan Jr., former Republican candidate for CT Attorney General and Honorable Richard F. Comerford Jr., a retired Superior Court judge and long-time Stamford attorney.  She currently runs her own business helping companies obtain state liquor permits and accurately filing other state and municipal applications.  Her experience in the legal field as well as her knowledge of government regulations makes her highly qualified to be Town Clerk.

Marilyn further commented, “I admire Bobby Valentine’s accomplishments and was inspired by his decision to run for Mayor as a candidate unaffiliated with either political party.  As someone who believes in helping people to help themselves, as Town Clerk I would make the office customer friendly and educational so that it ultimately becomes more efficient.”

Marilyn’s brother, Tim Abbazia, a former member and Chairman of the Stamford Board of Finance said “Marilyn has all the skills required to serve the City as Town Clerk.  Her intelligence and organizational skills enable her to meet the demands of this very important position.  More importantly, her ability to personally connect with people makes her ideally qualified for this responsibility”.
